Jennie Small, Flautist, studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She enjoys a busy professional career as a freelance musician in orchestras, shows and smaller chamber ensembles, both in the UK and abroad. Jennie is also a professional music therapist.
Ruth Holden, harpist, trained at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She finished her training in Switzerland having won a Countess of Munster award. Ruth then worked for many ensembles like the Bournemouth Symphony and Halle Orchestras and spent 10 years working for the Royal Shakespeare Company and English Touring Opera. For 25 years Ruth was the harpist on the brilliant original award winning musical ‘the Phantom of the Opera’. Ruth still regularly appears with top class orchestras like the Philharmonia and London Symphony Orchestras.
Jennie and Ruth enjoy working together as Bagatelle Duo, bringing beautiful and elegant live flute and harp music to enhance all functions at which they play. Making live music at many special events continues to be both a pleasure and a privilege for Bagatelle Duo.
